Vista: 3rd Sea Day

on
April 26, 2019

Good Morning. I just got myself a white chocolate mocha at the coffee shop and went to the ocean plaza seeking debarkarkion luggage tags like they had on Dream. I don’t see the setup. I guess I need to read the debarkation paperwork a little closer.

Looking at the debarkation sheet it says Lido forward for the luggage tags. It was ocean plaza on the Dream.

Here is the debarkation information.

Here is today’s schedule of events.

Main Lounge

On my way to pick up my tags I notice Matt is doing a Q&A in the main lounge so I’ll stop and catch the rest of it.

Lido Deck

After the Q&A I continued to the Lido deck to collect my luggage tags and they aren’t there. I read the sheet again. They aren’t available for another 45 minutes. I guess they don’t want people like me grabbing all of the low numbers before the debarkation briefing, which I no longer attend, completes.

Atrium Bar

I head to the Atrium Bar to hopefully get a Spicy Bloody Mary from Miguel but Miguel isn’t there. I haven’t seen him in a couple of days.

Before heading to brunch I stopped by Lido deck to check on the luggage tag situation again–still no tags. But if you think the comedy line can get long you should’ve seen the people lined up for luggage tags 20 minutes before they were released. I decided to come back after brunch.

Brunch

At brunch I decided to change things up with the Huevos Rancheros. It seems different from Dream and Breeze. I remember there being 2 or 3 sauces with it on those ships. It was good though.

Lido Deck

After brunch I returned to the lido deck to grab a luggage tag and was able to get zone 10 with no wait 10 minutes after the tags were released. I believe that was the 2nd or 3rd lowest number available. I came back an hour later and 14 was the lowest

Deck 11

I got some laundry going. I just went to check and it’s on the spin cycle. My two hour check on the luggage tags had the lowest number at 19. I’m enjoying a Miami Vice while I wait.

I got my clothes going in the dryer. I had to remove someone else’s clothes. A lady in here said they had been in there two hours when I started my wash. That lady started her dry 45 mins ago and it’s still running  so I have an idea when to check back.

Lunch

I decided to grab a ringer from Guy’s Burgers and a Thirsty Frog Red beer from the Red Frog Rum bar for lunch while my clothes are drying.

Cabin

I’m all packed with clean clothes.

Where did this come from? The mini golf course? Where’s the pen? I don’t want to take it. I just want to fill out my tag in something that can’t be erased.

Guest Services

I saw one of the biggest jerk moves I’ve seen on a cruise ship. I have a balance of like $34 after my On Board Credit. I brought a $100 gift card with me. I go to apply it at Guest Services and there is a guy who is probably 6-2 240 sceaming at the top of his lungs at two female guest services employees. And his significant other is standing there watching it.

It sounds like he has problem I had two cruises ago where the card I checked in with three months earlier had a number change. And then all of the sudden your sail and sign card doesn’t work when charges start to hit it on the last day of the cruise. I saw this happen to another guy at the rum bar a couple hours ago.

This guy was screaming  about how he spent 5k and he wasn’t going to quiet down until they started giving him comps. Finally he walked away and let his significant other handle it. It looked like roid rage.

Dinner

I had a reservation at JiJi’s for tonight but I canceled it earlier. I don’t want to deal with that tonight so I’m just going to eat in the MDR.

Mussels, shrimp creole, broccoli, macaroni and cheese.

Chocolate Melting Cake

Alchemy Bar

For some reason Mark drew a heart on my drink.

Main Lounge

I headed to the main lounge for the lip synch battle finale. I’ve seen this thing be standing room only on Dream Class ships and it is not here. It’s close to full but there are seats available on both levels.

Interesting because we have more people on this ship and supposedly this lounge is smaller.

Comedy Club

Just before they announced the lip synch battle winner I hit the door to get to adult comedy. I knew that’s where everyone was heading when it let out. There’s a 9:30 but it’s a repeat. Some repeats are worth watching if the comedian isn’t scripted. This one is so I won’t check it out. He said they’re doing a combined comedy show in the main lounge at 10:30. This is the one night you shouldn’t need to go to the main lounge for comedy. At 10:30 on the last night most people on this ship will be in bed.

Red Frog Pub

It’s standing room only in the piano bar. There’s pretty much nothing else going on around the ship other than the comedy show. I walked down to the Red Frog Pub and noticed they have Bohemia beer on the menu. Don’t remember it being on the RFP menu on Breeze or Freedom.

Here are some pictures I took of the back section and outside area of the Red Frog Pub this morning when it was empty.

Havana Bar

The guitar player in the Red Frog Pub went on break so I took a walk down to the Havana Bar where they have a Latin band playing. I wanted to try a Cuban beer if they had one but they don’t. I grabbed a Dos Equis draft instead.

This place is packed.

Main Lounge

I headed to the main lounge for the last comedy show. The crowd is pretty good for this late on the last night.

I found Miguel (Magic Man). He’s working the bar in the main lounge. I had him make me a fun ship.

Cabin

I got some Coconut shrimp from the Red Frog Pub to bring back to the room.

I don’t think the family next door realizes we have to be out of here in 9 hours. They are pretty loud.
