Summer Jubilee: Debarkation

on
April 23, 2025

Good morning. Today is debarkation day. The door slamming and toilet flushing got out of control at 6 so I got up at 6:10. I got up, took a shower, got dressed, and I’m taking my dirty dishes on my way to big chicken for breakfast.

Let’s see what’s for breakfast this morning. It looks like something nasty from Blue Iguana.

They were out of chicken. It was about a 5 to 10 minute wait. But it was worth it because it was good and fresh. It’s a good thing I was taking it back to my room because it needed to cool off.

I have 20 minutes until the platinum debarkation meeting. I’m going to try to get a coffee on deck 8.

I have just enough left to cover most of it.

I got a surprise because Evie from Tides is working the Marina Bar. She didn’t recognize me at first because I had my hat on but when she walked over to take my order she said “Oh, Greg!”

At 7:20 while I was at the Marina bar Kendall announced Platinum and Diamond debarkation would be starting early.

I’m checking out at 7:28

I took an up elevator to go down. Otherwise it would’ve been a wait. A lot of people and luggage were waiting to go down.

I didn’t get any debarkation pictures because I had my coffee in one hand in my suitcase in the other.

Across the street is the shuttle to my parking lot.

I was able to get the first shuttle out but there was a bit of a discrepancy. The driver thought some kids were empty seats and there were no empty seats. I ended up just standing up. I have a lot of subway experience and I’m not talking sandwiches.

I’m at my car at 7:57am which is pretty great considering I left my cabin on deck 16 at 7:28.

Next time I’m hopping cruise lines to go on Norwegian Encore out of Miami. We’re going to hit a couple ports Carnival doesn’t go to so be sure to check that out.
