Summer Jubilee: Day 7
Good morning! Today is a sea day and the last day of the cruise.
Here is today’s Fun Times
I don’t think I’ve mentioned it but Evie has been making my morning screwdrivers at Tides most of the week. With me staying on lido and it not being crowded here, it’s been convenient to get a couple here then head down to Marina for coffee.
See how crowded Marina is? Imagine trying to get a couple rounds here. They did get me my coffee quick but then I’d have to wait five minutes on the alcohol.
I just saw some rule enforcement here. A lady tried to get a shot of Woodford on another lady’s card “where is she?” She’s in the bed. “She needs to be here to get alcohol.”
That seemed nefarious. Coffee is one thing. If someone is still in bed I doubt you’re bringing them a shot of Woodford.
One more for the road.
The guest services line is empty for diamond and platinum. The regular line is down to Beach Buns. People found out they are being charged gratuities on all those kids.
Classic wake shot.
I got a window table today.
It was about a 35 minute wait for the first plate. I ordered French toast expecting the 12-hour French toast which is the only one on the menu. Maybe you have to be more specific because this is the port day French toast with the 12-hour French toast topping.
I actually almost left before he brought this one. My water has been empty for awhile and no refill. Eggs benedict and brunch potatoes.
The window is open!
I almost forgot to pick up my pin and gift from Pixels. We’re still on the toiletry bag.
I had left the sign off early hoping to get my laundry. The steward took that opening for the early room cleaning but no laundry.
Ice carving
This is the buffet lunch menu.
Sea dogs
Shawarma
I got a chicken shawarma.
It’s tough getting a drink at the Tiki Bar so I went back to my friends at Tides for this pina colada.
Hula hoop contest on lido.
These people at the beginning of my hallway constantly leave plates there. There’s a different one out there now. You’re allowed to do that. But my god they are right around the corner from Blue Iguana Cantina. There’s a little station there where they put the dirty plates. It would be so easy just to drop it off there.
In this case it looks like they didn’t eat any of it. Someone must be eating every meal in the room because there are constantly new plates out there.
The laundry is in. I can finish packing!
I headed down to the theater for the platinum-diamond cocktail party.
I always get a fun ship at these.
That’s the captain.
Bingo in Grand Central.
Chris Wiles in a onesie at his afternoon PG comedy show.
All of the indoor bars seem double packed. I went out to the Watering Hole. It was a bit windy. But then it started raining.
Big bock
I got my packing done. They are still hassling me with this even though I have platinum tags and debarkation available. I went ahead and just signed up for the earliest express slot and if I miss platinum/diamond, I have that.
The Alchemy was super slammed. No seats. It was about 15 minutes just to order. But things settled down and I was able to get a seat before my drink was ready. I’m on Julian’s side of the bar tonight.
I wanted to eat in Cucina tonight and be out by 8:45. I hit Manny Acosta’s 6:45 show. At the time the wait was 30-40 minutes so I thought I would be safe requesting it just before the show started, 6:44.
At 7:01 the wait time when down to 10-20 mins so it was looking good.
“Haha Helen”
Manny Acosta
I got a martini.
After the show I still had 10-20 minutes and there was an opening at Alchemy so I thought I had time to grab and go.
That was 7:23. 7:32 my table was ready but my drink was still a work in progress with half a dozen others.
We dine!
Kyndall came in to eat.
I noticed the Moretti keg machine doesn’t even have a keg in it so that is out again.
Arancini
Nonna‘s meatball
Chicken Parmesan and spaghetti
I got the Tiramisu to go and gave it to the alchemists.
I got to Percy’s show right as he was being introduced and it’s packed.
Even though everyone knows there aren’t any seats I walked all around the place with confidence and found exactly what I was looking for.
I know at one point a couple days ago when he was telling us he was doing two different PG shows for yesterday. He also told us he was doing two different adult shows tonight. But now he’s saying they told him to repeat this show.
Madame Webb on Lido deck.
This is a gender reveal thing. They’re letting people vote on it. I’m not sure that’s how it works. But hey…whatever floats this boat.
There are plenty of seats for the late night Celestial Strings. All of the rows behind me on this side are empty.
Tomorrow is debarkation day. Good night!
