I’m going to go out on a limb and say today will be good to dock in Freeport today. My excursion should be a go. I say that because yesterday morning I could feel a constant ship rocking. This morning I don’t feel anything. There was a loud engine noise at 5:30am, which is why I haven’t booked an aft room in 8 years.

Let’s check the forecast.

30 mph wind is better but still doesn’t sound great.

Here is today’s Fun Times.

I heard a different noise coming from the “whistling door” this morning so I went to check it out. They were tying us down.

I’ve been on ships for Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, and Veterans Day. They don’t usually have the flag up the next day.

There’s only one person in line at the coffee bar.

I got the same table I had the other day.

This is the broken egg sandwich which is a port day favorite of mine.

All kinds of fun is just waiting to be had in Freeport!

They call it Freeport because nobody would pay to come here. Freeport is my least favorite port. It should be improved once Carnival completes their new port area. The last time I was here I visited the Bahamian Brewery.  This time I found a shark excursion to go on.

It’s definitely not a beauty contest here today. We’re here with Vision of the Seas and Margaritaville Paradise.

Rico said the gangway is forward. He either said deck A or deck 8. I’m going to go out on a limb and guess A even though I haven’t heard of a deck A before now.

The instructions say meet at the white tent. By white tent I’m guessing they mean the frame where a white tent once may have been.

Conch fritters weren’t great. I’m not sure they were cooked fresh.

I had a few and left the rest. The sauce was good though.

Serenity is usable now.

Chopsticks wasn’t as crazy as it has been this week and they just put out fresh sesame chicken so I grabbed some.

The number of kids in the hot tub made me wonder if water works was open. It is, but nobody is using it.

Maybe because it’s day four and it’s been closed for three days. Maybe because it’s on the opposite side of the ship from Camp Ocean but the hot tub is right there. I don’t know.

I’m heading down to the room to shower and change so the steward can clean my room.

I’m leaving a bag of laundry.

I was able to get a seat at Alchemy and a very dirty martini from Leyla.

Vision of the Seas is pulling out.

I eating in the steakhouse tonight. It’s a good night for it. There’s no comedy so Getaway Island is the only entertainment. Tomorrow we have Daniel Dugar and Keith Ross Nelson starting in the comedy club.

I’m taking this one to watch sail away and the sunset.

One nice thing about this steakhouse location is you can see right into the line from outside.

I grabbed a tropical hurricane in the Red Frog Pub. 

They have beer pong going on in here.

The steakhouse hostess remembered me from last time. This time I walked up the steps so I would be at her host stand. It’s a bit odd walking through the buffet where people are fighting over chicken nuggets and soft serve ice cream while I’m carrying my martini up to my steakhouse reservation. I would make the main entrance around the side from the elevator lobby instead of up the stairs from the buffet.

I also have the same waitress as the other night. I’m not going to order a beer this time.

The bread girl didn’t remember my bread choice. I’m not saying she needs to. I’m just saying. I’m paying attention.

The birthday boy got a fruit plate and they put candles next to it.

This lady got a chocolate sphere for her birthday.

The guy in the dress shorts and cousin Eddie shoes with no socks has quite the mouth. He says the F word three times in every sentence. I don’t know if he’s from New York or Boston. It’s somewhere up there. 

A guy at the second birthday table pulled a harmonica out of his pocket and played happy birthday. Now he’s taking requests.

I’m back at Alchemy for an extra dirty Martini. Apparently someone was kicked off the ship today. I’m not sure why but security was guarding his door and escorted him out this morning.

It’s time for the show anyway.

There’s plenty of seating available for the late show.

Tonight’s show is Getaway Island.

I’m calling it an early night. I haven’t been sleeping enough the past couple nights so I need some catchup sleep. There isn’t any late night comedy tonight so it’s a good day for it.
