Seawolf Park
Seawolf Park in Galveston consists of a fishing pier, playground, sports courts, picnic areas, and The Galveston Naval Museum. It is located on Pelican Island 6.5 miles from the Strand and 7.5 miles from the Pleasure Pier. It was named in honor of the USS Seawolf, a submarine that was lost in World War II.
The large parking lot is centrally located between the Naval Museum and the park.
The park consists of a playground, picnic tables, sports courts, and a fishing pier.
There is also plenty of room for fishing just outside of the Naval Museum.
This turtle is known as Zeke. Zeke is one of many Turtles About Town in Galveston.
The Naval Museum is $8 for children, $13 for adults, $10 for seniors and just $7 for veterans.
The Naval Museum contains the USS Cavalla Submarine and the USS Stewart Destroyer Escort.
They have bathrooms located between the two vessels.
This is the Mark 18 torpedo exhibit.
Also on display is the sail from the USS Tautog. The rest of the Tautog was scrapped in 2004.
