Royal Navy Dockyard in Bermuda
There is a lot to see and do right around where your ship docks in Bermuda. This area is known as the Royal Navy Dockyard. It served as a Royal Navy base from 1795-1995 and was used in the War of 1812, WWI, WWII, as well as during the Cold War.
The National Museum of Bermuda is located just off of the pier and costs $15 for adults and $12 for children.
Across from the National Museum is the Cooperage, where you will find The Frog and Onion Pub.
Inside the Cooperage you can pick up a free copy of the Bermuda Triangle Times. You can also sample beer and rum from Dockyard Brewing Co.
Transportation
For transportation there will be taxi cabs waiting as soon as you exit the ship. There is also a courtesy train there that will take you around the dockyard for free.
Outside of the port area is a bus stop where you can catch a van to Horseshoe Bay for $7 per person.
Food and Drinks
The Frog and Onion Pub is a popular spot to grab a pint, a meal, or the national drink (Rum Swizzle). You can soak up free Wifi while you’re there as well.

Another place to eat and drink is the Bone Fish Bar & Grill. You can view their menu here.
The Dockyard Pastry Shop & Bistro menu can be viewed here.
Shopping
Shopping at the Dockyard includes The Crown and Anchor apparel, Island Outfitters, Jon Faulkner Pottery Gallery, Dockyard Pharmacy, Makin’ Waves, The Rum Barrel, and the Clock Tower Mall.
Fun Zone
Just outside of the Fun Zone is a free playground and splash area.
One of the big attractions in the Fun Zone is Fun Golf. For full coverage of Fun Golf please check out: Fun Golf in Bermuda.
Here are Fall 2022 prices for the Snorkel Park Beach Club.
On the way to the Fun Golf area there is a 5D theater. Here are the prices.
In the beach area they have a bounce castle.
Just beyond the 5D theater is the entrance to Fun Golf.
When you have had all the fun you can stand, or when you’re ship is about to leave the dockyard, you can just take the tunnel out of the Fun Zone. It’s a short walk back to the ship from there.
That concludes my presentation of the Royal Navy Dockyard. As you can see there is a lot of food, drinks, shopping and fun just steps from your ship in Bermuda.
