One World Observatory
Good afternoon! I just had lunch at Los Tacos No. 1 and I’m back at One World Trade Center for the One World Observatory.
This is the entrance to the observatory.
They try to sell you priory status. It’s 11:50. I bought the standard ticket which gives me a 12:50 entry time. $10 more would get me a 12:20 entry time. An additional $20 gets you immediate entry. I’m doing this on a weekday and it isn’t crowded so I’m taking my chances to see if I can get right away without paying extra.
You have to go down to go up.
This is the line to get in. I guess if you purchased an upgrade you would go to the priority access line. I don’t think I’m going to have a problem getting right away with my standard ticket.
They have a nice display before you head up to the top.
We are at the 102nd floor.
This is the video that plays in the elevator on the ride up.
When you get off of the elevator there is no view at first.
At the end of this video they unveil the view.
Another upgrade they have here that I didn’t notice when purchasing my ticket. The ladies at the far desk have these iPad devices that you can point at buildings and it will tell you what you’re looking at. I believe they offered it for a $20 upgrade.
This is the closest observatory to the Statue of Liberty.
They have a cafe, restaurant, and a bar on this level.
I grabbed a beer from the cafe.
You have to go down one level for the main observatory.
They have a gift shop up here.
The Manhattan Bridge on the left and the Brooklyn Bridge on the right.
Here you have the Empire State Building in the middle.
This is the Hudson River view.
A good look at the Empire State Building.
Those at the Battery Park City Ball Fields
A look across the Hudson River to New Jersey.
Here you can see the Statue of Liberty in the middle.
This is the booth where you can purchase your photos.
Here is a couple shots inside the observatory.
This is a very nice observatory but I do prefer one that has an outdoor level.
I am heading back down. I have a lot more to do today.
Here is the elevator ride down.
That was One World Observatory.
