New York Magic: Embarkation
Good morning. It’s embarkation day. I just returned from my final sightseeing trip which was to Grant’s Tomb. I have six minutes until checkout.
I’m trying to take the bus to the terminal. I walked three blocks and caught the M31 which was supposed to take me there but it only went two blocks and said last stop.
Now I’m on the M57 bus. One nice thing about having the unlimited pass is I didn’t have to ask the last driver for a transfer. That would save you being charged for another ticket but with unlimited it doesn’t matter. I’m up to $66 worth of metro used on the unlimited card that cost me $34.
This is as close as the bus will take me. I’ll have to walk it from here. It took me 25 minutes to get to this point with the walk and two buses.
That walk looked a lot shorter than it was. It took me 12 minutes to get to Pier 90 from the bus stop.
I believe the Magic is at Pier 88. The line goes all the way to Pier 90. There is a Carnival employee out here making sure everyone has their Bermuda Authorization form. This family to the right got stopped because they didn’t have theirs at the ready.
My phone automatically connected to Magic network. I was last on Magic in 2019 which was three phones ago for me. When you backup to iCloud and restore on your new phone it really does transfer everything.
It took me 50 minutes to get in the building.
