New York Magic: Bermuda Day 2

This is unfortunate. I missed breakfast yesterday because they shut it down at 9. Today I woke and rushed down to get in before 9 but they had shut it down at 8:30 today.

Rafael delivers the paper copy of the Fun Times.

I don’t want another burrito.

It’s just crazy in that buffet right now with kids screaming. I had to step outside. There’s nobody at the little buffet back here.

I’m just keeping it simple.

One of the downsides to being a solo. There’s a very good chance someone cleans my table while I go get a spoon.

I made it.

I don’t know why I’m sleeping until 8:30 everyday. I guess a time thing. It would be 7:30 in New York and 6:30 back home. That’s probably why they have us change our clocks. So they have fewer people to serve in the dining room.

The line for coffee is the longest I’ve seen this week. I miss the days when you didn’t have to specify that you wanted your coffee to be hot.

They make it difficult to get outside. I know it’s a port day morning but this was blocked off yesterday afternoon as well.

It said go to the Red Frog which is also blocked off from the outside.

This sign says go to the Piano Bar but the arrow is pointing in the opposite direction.

The entrance by the Piano Bar is open. They do have that rope and sign at the ready though.

Someone is listening to a talk show on their balcony now. The view, the talk, the sight, the sound, the touch. One of those shows. It’s really loud.

I headed inside to the atrium bar for a bloody mary.

We are setting our clocks back an hour tonight. That means I’m definitely going to be up early enough for breakfast tomorrow. Of course it’s sea day brunch and they serve it till noon tomorrow anyway. But I’m planning on getting there early enough to eat breakfast and come back at 11:30 for lunch.

I moved to the Red Frog Rum Bar on lido deck for a Toasted Amber.

I stopped by they room. They’re working on my blinking light issue.

I’m going to try a practice round before I make a decision on playing the Bermuda Fun Golf.

That’s not too bad. I finished with a 25. I think par was 19. I barely missed holes in one on 1 and 6.

I’m peeking at the Guy’s burgers they have onion and tomato but still no lettuce.

I guess BBQ is only open on sea days.

I’m going to do pasta in the Italian restaurant.

I messed it up trying to mix butter sauce and alfredo sauce. It looks bad but still tastes pretty good.

I’m going to head off of the ship to try Fun Golf.

This is why I went to the beach yesterday. Two ships in port today.

First I’m stopping by the the Frog and Onion for the national drink of Bermuda.

I am heading back to the ship after my round of Fun Golf. We are about 15 minutes away from back on board.

On the way back I heard this guy irate with his significant other saying he almost grabbed a guy by the throat or something. It sounds like a misunderstanding and over reaction by him but he was using the f word every other word.

They gave me a hard time going through the little terminal building because I didn’t have a mask. We were told they would provide them. Nobody else was in the building. It took 5 seconds to walk through. But they made my cover my face with my shirt while I walked through.

When I got back to my room, this was in my box. They added $50 to my account for my trouble with the rattling in my ceiling.

I’m sending out one last laundry load.

The string trio is playing in the atrium.

I think they must have the fish bowl sale today in the Red Frog Pub. Everyone has a fish bowl or pitcher. Even people in Ocean Plaza.

They certainly aren’t here for tennis or cricket.

Two football games are on in the casino.

I got to the alchemy 10 mins early to ensure a seat.

Trivia leftovers. This person did not do well.

We have the Caribbean steel drums going. I don’t think I’ve seen him around yet.

They did eventually fix the weather

I have the steakhouse at 7:30 tonight and Cucina Del Capitano tomorrow night.

There was no comedy last night and they have only one adult comedy show tonight.

This from Nicola. Its good. Like a butterscotch chocolate thing.

Bijesh made this one. It’s almost like a chocolate milkshake.

This couple next to me wants wine and beer. She holds the seats while he goes to another bar to get them. “You don’t mind if we take up your seats?” No we don’t.

Yeah I’m sure they don’t really mind that during primetime two of their bar seats are going to get taken up by people not buying drinks from them or tipping them. It’s one of those ocean plaza things. If this bar weren’t in ocean plaza, they wouldn’t want to sit here.

Now that’s not enough. The guy is grabbing the ocean plaza menu and asking an alchemist “well who serves this?” I want to tell the guy go sit over there if you want to order from that menu.

I headed to the steakhouse for my dinner reservation.

We dine!

You don’t typically see kids in the steakhouse. I’m fortunate enough to be about 10 inches from a 7 year old tonight.

I asked for a second appetizer instead of dessert. She said that was fine and still offered dessert. I said no thank you. She said I’ll check back. When she checked back I said maybe If you can get it to go. She said I could. So I got cheese cake to stash.

I haven’t had the cheese cake in awhile but it definitely looks different on top.

I found this on my way back to the room.

Someone called and asked if I was still hearing the noise. I said yes…and I hear dead people. They said they would check it out. He came by and verified the noise then left and said he would notify guest services.
