Jubilee: Day 7

on
June 10, 2024

Good morning. Today is the last day of the cruise. I fell asleep early last night and missed the Rock ‘N Glow party. On the bright side I was able to get up at 6am with plenty of sleep.

You know what that means? This was my time to to turn the tables on the people on my hallway who have been waking me up all week. This was my chance to let the door fly before they got up! And I did.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen this guy before this cruise but I’ve done some research and found that he goes by “Houston’s Tan Man.” He’s always dressed like that and taking pictures with people. Here he’s basically shooting a 12 second Carnival commercial on his phone. So if you see it, I’m right here.

I was up before the coffee shops were open so I did a Morning Tour.  For full coverage of that please check out Jubilee Day 7 Morning Tour. Now I’m going to skip ahead to when the coffee shop opened.

Now the Marina bar is open so I’m going for coffee.

I need to try some of these today.

Here’s a look at the 8am Java Blue coffee line. I’m going for another cup of coffee.

I decided to time it. Back of line to getting my coffee was 3 minutes and 20 seconds.

A blogger in his natural habitat.

I like to eat breakfast at Emeril’s on sea days. Each item is $6 and one is enough for me. There are plenty of included lunch options if I get hungry in a few hours.

I got my usual table.

This is the Breakfast Po Boy. It’s great. Everything I’ve had here has been great.

I got up and turned around. Holy smoke! The brunch line!

That was 4 minutes before they opened. I came back 4 minutes after they opened and it was looking better.

The Atlantic Restaurant is where they are having the Thing 1 & Thing 2 birthday breakfast.

This is the 8:30 coffee line.

This guy stopped to not get in my picture. I can see why.

The bell from the original Jubilee is on display here.

The Cloud 9 spa is next to the Punchliner Comedy Club on deck 6 by the forward elevator lobby.

The fitness center is across from the spa.

I went down to the Pig & Anchor for a bloody mary. It looks like Ana gave me extra bacon today.

This is the last day guest services line. There is nobody in the platinum/diamond line.

The theater has nice seats.

And cupholders.

Her family.

Grandma

She got into a serious coughing fit and had to get water. It happens. It happened to the judge in my murder trial last week. She had to run out of the court room. Well it wasn’t MY murder trial. I was a potential juror.

Her significant other, Joey. He was comedy host on my 2021 Vista cruise. Since then he’s been making the rounds as a cruise director. Now he’s the first Cruise Director on Carnival Firenze.

But he’s actually here now.

Time to go. She let us have it on the way out for not sticking around for the debark talk.

Circus practice is happening in Grand Central.

Let’s take a look at the Pacific Restaurant where Your Time Dining, Sea Day Brunch, and Port Day Breakfast all happens.

These were my tables my first two nights eating here.

The escalator that goes down into the galley.

That pretty much covers it.

It’s time to start working on that menu. I’m just waiting for these walk ups to vacate the premises .

I don’t know what the deal is with the belts on these chairs.

There’s my opening.

Sunset on the Pier

They’re pushy with this.

Aye Aye Captain

Dusan must be doing espresso martinis in his class at the Alchemy. Dusan goes back to my 2018 Carnival Dream cruises.

Carnival Breeze

Groove for St. Jude is happening on Lido Deck. We get to be among the first with the blue shirts.

Kyndall’s Mom is in front of me.

My final load of laundry is back so I can start packing.

I had left something for Omar this morning.

The laundry stacks make packing easier.

I’m doing Chibang for lunch today.

You have to bring your own Shiner to the restaurants because they don’t have it. Or they don’t know what it is. Tides, Tiki, Serenity bars have it.

I thought they discontinued this because I didn’t get any last time.

Carnitas bowl.

Churro dessert.

Ice Carving is happening on Lido deck.

I just witnessed a miracle!

Back to the Marina bar to finish up the menu.

That looks like it was painful.

Marina Cape Cod

It’s cooling off.

This is an imitation watermelon crush from the Watering Hole. They’re out of watermelon. They used watermelon syrup instead. It’s good but it’s on the sweet side.

I had to go spicy after that sweet watermelon drink.

Afternoon comedy is popular. This is a repeat from an hour ago and they’re repeating it again in an hour.

It’s standing room only. I got a spot along the wall.

PG comedy host.

Alex Elkin

They have one magic show on this cruise and it’s at 4:15 pm on the last sea day in the Punchliner? What do you think that crowd is going to be like? I recommend getting here 30 minutes early if you want a seat. I was here 10 minutes early and it was full.

Manoj

That show was good. It needs a bigger stage. I left early. I’m not sure how long it goes but at 4:50 I left because Street Eats closes at 5 and I haven’t tried what they have today.

Thanks Hub!

I finished packing and headed to the Punchliner for adult comedy. Q-Tip Clint

Jill Kimmel

Carnival Kitchen

College basketball is on in the Hero’s Lounge.

I got a spicy bloody mary.

Tonight’s entertainment is all repeats other than comedy. They’re doing the Rio Carnival thing again a couple times. And they’re doing Soulbound a couple times. So you can plan for splitting nights with those. That makes it easier…especially if you know ahead of time. Which I don’t think they tell you.

Parched Pig Ale Cheddar Soup

Fried Tomatoes

Coffee Glazed Duck

Baked Alaska.

I think they gave me a huge slice because it was the end of the night.

They’re getting ready for another showing of Soulbound. This is the 2nd of the night, 4th of the cruise. It’s not hard to get seats at this point.

Billy D. Washington

Gran Turismo is on the big screen before I head to bed.

They have some kinks to work out on this new electronic debarkation. They should leave diamond and platinum out of it.

Yesterday I got luggage tags #4 with the platinum debarkation instructions. Then they hound me about setting a debarkation time in the app. So I do that.

Now they sent me a #6 tag for that. I’m going to be carrying off but it makes no sense that they sent me a second set of tags.

I am off to bed. Tomorrow is debarkation.
