Good morning. I didn’t get as much sleep as I would’ve liked last night. Something woke me up out of a deep sleep at 6:45 this morning. I think it was a door slam because I’ve been trying to get back to sleep for 20 minutes and there’s been four more door slams and a toilet flush. I could’ve used another 30-90 minutes but I think I’m up.

Then in the back of the buffet you have an omelet line at Shawarma on one side.

And a Sea Dogs omelet line on the other side. I don’t know why these people are waiting in a longer line for omelet instead of just walking over to Shawarma. People on cruise ships are interesting.

Yesterday my steward asked if I liked the paper Fun Times. I told him yes. He told me he would leave a copy in my box each day. Last night I saw copies in other boxes. The people across the hall had one. Me? No. 

I’m not saying he’s a bad steward. I’m just saying it’s not looking good right now.

I heard at Bar 820 on Celebration now you have to line up for coffee. I’m scoping out the coffee situation at Marina. I don’t see a line. I grabbed a paper fun times from the side of the bar and took a seat.

Now I’m halfway through with my coffee and the same bartender who made my mocha just told two people next to me “you want coffee? The line is down there.” I guess she just likes me better than them.

I’ll probably be a heavy Emeril’s/Big Chicken breakfast guy on this ship.  I’ll do the breakfast/brunch thing on other ships this year.

At Emeril’s you just walk up and order. They give you a number which you put on any table you want.

This is an Americano. They really need Cafe Au Lait on the menu here.

I will definitely be checking out Dr. Inks today. Latitudes on Celebration didn’t have a great menu for me but this place does.

Let’s check out the unoccupied restaurant. This is for set dining. They also have the Cat in the Hat breakfasts and the Diamond lunch in here.

The Golden Mermaid. I don’t think I liked that menu as much as Dr.Inks but I’m sure I’ll check it out.

I feel like these lifeguards should have a chair. At least this one has a pole to lean on. During sail away I was standing next to one. I don’t think anyone had been in that pool all day. Public pool lifeguards have a chair. Beach lifeguards have a chair. Why don’t carnival lifeguards have a chair? If they are called into action I don’t want them to have tired legs from standing all day.

There are only six left. I definitely need to grab one before I head back to the room.

I’ll probably find an inaugural season shirt as well. They have some Texas themed ones.

This would make more sense if they had a Fun Time Saloon on this ship. Maybe they should’ve embraced that theme more. An old west style saloon. They could’ve done it where they have The Golden Mermaid.

The Pig & Anchor has a breakfast buffet deck 8 aft.

Mike from Celebration is the Brew Master again here.

These are the current beers they have brewed on the ship. Mike said they would be brewing towards the end of the week so I may check out the tanks around then. When I was on Celebration he didn’t have to brew because it was early in the season and he had been in country for two months brewing prior to the Transatlantic.

One of the secrets to the Bloody Mary at the Pig & Anchor on the excel class ships is the vodka preparation. They use infused Tito’s.

It looks like a brewery tour is starting. I did a Celebration Brewery Tour in 2022.

I believe these screens above Dr. Inks are interactive and controlled by the tablet on the right.

The Wave Morning Show is happening.

I think they’re setting up for towel folding demonstration next.

They fixed this bathroom. It’s right by The Alchemy Bar and on Celebration that wall isn’t there. The automatic doors don’t always close immediately so anyone coming out of the ladies room across the way has a full view.

I made it to the lido deck in time for the start of the Texas Tailgate Party.

They’re about to have a kid’s pony riding competition.

Next is the pig races. We’re going to get a demonstration from The Notorious P.I.G.

It’s shocking how empty the buffet is at 12:45 on a sea day. It just goes to show you how many options they have this ship.

I highly recommend sitting in this location. This is where they make the drinks.

These people next to me haven’t touched their drinks. I think they’re waiting on someone. I’m about to have my second drink since those were made.

I didn’t realize the bartender was waiting that long to do the bubbles for those drinks. Almost an hour later.

We have a first! At least as long as I’ve been at this bar. It’s a first double bubble!

I stopped by the room which has been cleaned but I haven’t had tissue in the dispenser since I got on the ship. I know how to take the box from the bottom and put it up top. I’m just going to see how long it takes my steward to do it.

A night of not using any staircases.

I was trying to take a picture of the screen and these people step in front of it. The guy taking the picture says “I can’t see the circle.”  “I can’t see the dot.” I say I can’t see anything!

I had a good spot for this upstairs but I missed the start. They were over 30 minutes late starting.

This Main Dining Room line is exactly why I had that late sandwich prepping for a late dinner.

Dr. Inks was slammed but I found a spot at The Golden Mermaid.

I have a big S on my car so when I drive by people say “look at that s car go.”

I think this is a new item for me. Fillet and short rib duet.

It’s really good. I think the steak is more medium than medium rare but it’s all good.

That’s disappointing. They overcooked my souffle. 

I have one drink left and my thought is that pralines and cream liqueur from Dr. Inks they said they use in the chocolatini.

The theater is packed for Celestial Strings. This would normally be on Center Stage but I heard the screen won’t go up so they aren’t using it for shows.

Guess that Groove is where Celestial Strings would normally be.

I stopped by the casino since I was there and grabbed my platinum free play.

I doubled their money and put it in my pocket.

Them yes. Me no.

Them no, me yes.

I put it back after I got a picture of it.

Then I headed outside for the Hot White Party.

All I had was that was white was my socks.

Before I left the party I stopped in the buffet and grabbed a Diet Pepsi.

If you know where my room is at you know we sort of have our own little hallway.  When I left the hot white party a lady was coming behind me. I held the door for her, but of course she let it slam. I cringed. 

After I got in my room a loud argument in Spanish ensued in the hallway. This is at about midnight. A door slammed. I stepped out to see if anyone was still out there. The lady I held the door for and an older lady were out there. I said “Did you ever think people in these rooms may be sleeping? Just a thought.” And I went back into my room.

People need to get a clue that they aren’t the only ones on this ship.

I’m going to try to get some sleep but the people down the hall are constantly letting that door slam. I hope there’s a night when I get to bed early and up early so I can wake them up. Good Night!
