Jewel: Day 7
Good morning. Today is the last day of the cruise. I’m starting out with a walk around the lanai on deck 7.
The singing team I saw in the buffet yesterday is in the dining room this morning.
Eggs Benedict
Cinnamon French toast
After breakfast I headed to the Spinnaker Lounge for the Q&A with the Captain, Chief Engineer, and General Manager.
I got a pair of bloody marys at the bar.
They were asked their favorite places to cruise. I was thinking they’re going to say something most people in this room will never be able to do. The Chief Engineer did say Alaska and Mediterranean. The GM said French Polynesia and the Far East. The Captain said South America.
Someone did leave this. That’s all I have for you.
If you aren’t an NCL person this is important to know. If you just want to walk through the buffet to get to the back of the ship, walk left through the table area. If the buffet were open and you tried to walk through here you could be forcefully sanitized.
I walked through the buffet to the aft bar for screwdrivers then white Russians.
55 to Stay Alive is basically like that old Minute to Win It TV show.
I got a dirty martini.
Then I got a couple walking beers to take to lunch.
I always forget that Caprese salad is just cheese and tomatoes. I don’t like tomatoes THAT much.
I’m trying some different things on the lunch menu. This is Pho and Cuban chicken.
I asked the hostess to pose for a picture because I like to notice when they learn my name. So many of them don’t anymore. I later noticed the dinner one also knows my name.
After lunch I headed up to the pub for Guinness.
It’s looking dark out there.
I wanted to try some more custom drinks at the martini bar. I just noticed that bar opened back at noon.
This is strawberry cheese cake.
Northern Lights (definitely a Malibu drink)
I forget what he called this one.
Cannonball
My guy is on break so I just ordered this off the menu. It’s the cucumber basil one. I thought it might be like the cucumber sunrise or basil drop from carnival but it’s not. I’m not a fan.
He’s back.
He made me this on called glacier bay. It’s too sweet for my taste but I don’t want him to know. I’m going to dump it and go back to the room to start packing.
Other people already have their luggage out.
This is the internet manager line. All of these people are asking for refunds. In addition to the internet being bad, some people in line has their free 150 minutes taken away. They’re saying everyone got wiped out the other day.
I got the full refund but I also got some lip.
Lets take a look outside.
I had too many sweet drinks. I’m going back to the dirty martini.
That saxophone is going
It’s a full house for the big circus show. I’m heading to dinner.
scallops
onion soup
grilled shrimp
Nutella crème brûlée. The top was pretty soft. It wasn’t really a brulee to me.
If is on in the room. That’s another pretty new movie. It was in theaters in May.
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is on again.
This is the Nolan Ryan documentary that was on the other morning.
I’m off to bed. Tomorrow is debarkation day.
I was trying to see if I could catch the end of cupcake decorating demonstration but it’s over and origami is next.
