Horzion ABC: Embarkation

on
August 12, 2024

Good morning! I it’s embarkation day in Miami. I flew in this morning direct from Dallas-Fort Worth to Fort Lauderdale. I got off of the plane at 9am and took an Uber to the port of Miami.

I got in the Uber at 9:35 and arrived here at the port at 10:15. There is no line here so I’m going to go right inside.

I am through the check-in at 10:17.

I made it up to the priority waiting area at 10:20.

Everything happened so fast that I didn’t even see porters. I hadn’t decided if I was carrying on or checking. I still have my bags so I’m carrying on. I was given a Priority M placard at check-in.

This is the same terminal Celebration uses.

The letters on the placards are going to be huge. When I was here for Celebration they called suites, then diamond, then platinum and it was a free for all. It was just a mess of people.

This picture is from 2022 when I was trying to board Celebration.

There was an announcement. I think they said they’re starting boarding at 10:45. I definitely heard a 45. I’m hoping it was a 10 not an 11 in front of it.

It’s hard to understand the announcements with the echo in here. I don’t think it’s as bad as Port Canaveral, but it’s close.

I am definitely ready for lunch. I ate up my remaining two bananas at 2am. A banana can be very filling, but that was 8 hours ago.

People are lining up. They just can’t help themselves. I hope the all have A placards

Boarding is starting. A-G were called at 11:07.

A-K 11:10

A-L 11:11. I’m next.

11:12 M

A-Z were called at 11:20.

I am onboard at 11:30.

Next time we’ll cover day 1 on Carnival Horizon.
