Good morning! Today is the first of two consecutive sea days as we make our way back to Miami. It’s been raining all morning. This is a look out the window.

Let’s step outside.

Here are today’s Fun Times.

They must have the Seuss at Sea events today.

Now they turned the sign telling people in the coffee line there’s an express coffee location right behind them so it’s facing the people in the coffee line. It doesn’t seem to be helping. 

I’ll go with the smaller line at the Plaza Bar.

10-20 minute wait for a brunch table. I’m going to head to the atrium for screwdriver(s).

 

My table is ready. That took right at 20 minutes.

One for the road.

We have the typical brunch stairwell dwellers this morning.

They definitely seem to have changed the policy to not putting sides on a separate plate. Most of the time I don’t mind it. But the first sea day I didn’t like the brunch potato sauce mixing with my skillet cake.

When I asked for crispy bacon he must’ve thought I said turkey bacon. I let it go. The next meal is always right around the corner on a ship. I’m just eating the huevos rancheros and brunch potatoes.

It looks like they’re setting up for Seuss Storytime.

Yep.

Cortadito is the one Cuban coffee on this menu I haven’t tried this week. I don’t think the bartender knows what he’s making. He had to look at the menu. 

Even after looking at the menu, I don’t think he put any milk in it.

I noticed there have not been any stools at the Havana bar the entire cruise. That’s different from other ships I’ve been on.

Normally Groove for St. Jude is on the last day of the cruise. They’re doing it on the next to last day here. They moved it to the atrium due to the rain.

I’m just going to hang in the room for a bit. Maybe put a movie on. It’s still raining.

After the movie I headed down to the theater for the “What’s Age Got to Do with It?” game show.

The weather has improved.

Music trivia is going on in the atrium.

I decided to eat pasta for lunch. This is the 2pm line. At one point the people in front of me told me the line was for JiJi’s if I was eating pasta. I went up and asked the hostess. She said it’s for both. I went back and told the people in front of me. They said well everyone in front of you is waiting for JiJi’s.

After five minutes with no movement I decided to get a burrito instead. I will be extremely upset if I was waiting in a line for a half hour when nobody in front of me is going the same place I am.

This is my beef burrito from Blue Iguana with basically everything on it.

I tried a piece of chocolate cake. It was too chocolate.

It looks like a good time for pina coladas on the pool deck.

I remember the people in front of me at Hertz Bonaire being concerned about when a temporary authorization would drop off. Now I see why. That’s a huge authorization for a $100 rental. I’m not showing any authorization for Aruba. And just $50 for my rental back home.

I’m leaving my last bag of laundry for the steward. I left half a bag yesterday so I should be getting those clothes back when he picks these up.

I’ve been having this problem for a few days where I get disconnected from the network. At first I would just have to reconnect and it would be fine. Now I have to try 4-5 times to get it to connect. This time I tried logging out of internet and back in because I haven’t logged in with the new folio. I’m skeptical that it will change things since I’ve been dealing with it since before I changed folios but we’ll try it.

I was able to get a seat at Alchemy. This is an extra dirty martini.

I asked for something well balanced. This is as sour as it looks.

I went back to the dirty martini.

These characters made several laps around the ship.

This is a martini seduction. It’s pretty good.

That was surprising. A couple at the Alchemy had been waiting for a table for half an hour and was showing a 40-50 minute wait. I was like well I better request a table! I was showing a 40-50 minute wait but got one in 10 minutes.

The Orion Brothers

Soulbound is about to start in the theater.

I don’t even have to say anything in Skybox. It was packed so I stepped into a server station and before I knew it, beer.

Yorden is the man! He’s my best bartender of the year so far and will be difficult to beat.

The comedy line was back  to the casino so of course people say will say you can’t get in. I’m waiting until it moves past skybox, then I’ll get in line.

Yorden is on top of it. By the time I sat down it was in front of me.

It’s a good time to be in the sports bar if you’re a Dallas fan. You have Stars and Mavericks playoffs at the same time.

The hot white party in the atrium.

They had a proposal during the hot white party.

The silent party is in the Limelight Lounge and it’s packed. I forgot even though games are going on the Skybox, the bar closes at 11. I remember them doing last call 10:45 the other night so no drinks there with the Stars/Mavericks games.

I grabbed a beer at another bar to take down to the game.

This will be my last.

This is a pretty good crowd for a midnight movie. I’m sure it helps that tomorrow is a sea day.
