Glory Days: 3rd Sea Day

Overall the neighbors have been great this cruise. I didn’t hear any noise coming from the hallway until at least 8:30 this morning.

Main Dining Room

I decided to check out the brunch situation. The line isn’t bad so I decide to stick with it. The hostess today is Elena from your time dining so I don’t have to say a word. She has known my name, cabin number, and table preference since the third night. And I was in the Steakhouse the first night.

Steak ‘n Eggs

I need to remember to pick up my luggage tags after this. They are supposed to be available by the coffee shop at 10am.

Debarkation Information

Coffee Shop

OMG! People have figured out the luggage tag pickup. They haven’t put them out yet and there are over 50 people standing in line for them. I’m going to hold off and come back later.

While I’m here I’m going to pick up my coffee. Milan from the Alchemy is working in the coffee shop–Crazy.

Casino

Nened from the sports bar is working the casino bar.

I ran out of tip money so I had to stop by the casino cashier for some 1’s. I’m not usually in the casino early so I don’t know if this has been an everyday thing but they have coffee, juice, pastries. If you like your croissants extra smoky, this is the place for you.

Serenity Deck

After I finished my coffee I decided to try my luck with a Bloody Mary up here. It’s pretty good. Definitely the spiciest one I’ve had this cruise.

It really is all about the bartender. The serenity bartender went on break and this one isn’t as good as the last one.

Looking at the Fun Times it’s surprising to see the sports bar doesn’t open until 2pm with college football on now. I’m going to walk by in a minute to see if its all shutdown. They could be packed right now.

Sports Bar

The sports bar is packed but no bartender. At least they left it open with TVs on.

I really have to think money is being left on the table here. I’m looking at a packed bar and I think I’m the only one with a drink. I see several empty glasses. Most people have no drink.

Every seat at the bar is reserved when it comes open. I’ve been hanging out in the server station since nobody is using it.

A spot opens up. I try to take it. The guy in the next seat says “he’s coming right back.” A few minutes later an attractive female takes the seat no problem.

At halftime I’m going upstairs looking for lunch.

Guy’s Burger Joint

I grabbed a ringer and fries from Guy’s and a Thirsty Frog Red draft from the Red Frog Rum Bar.

I just remembered I forgot about the luggage tag.

Coffee Shop

Well…I think I’ll go with a late zone.

Sports Bar

I got my standing spot back at the Sports Bar. I feel pretty good about getting the last 14 luggage tag. I think I was in the 20’s on Vista.

They are starting to prep the bar.

Casino

I step over to the casino bar to grab another beer and use the bathroom. These geniuses have soccer on the only casino bar TV. It’s college football Saturday!

Ewww. Someone overflowed a toilet in the casino bathroom. Water goes all the way to the urinal on the other side of the bathroom. Fortunately Carnival cleaning personal are onsite…taking a whiz.

Back to the sports bar. Nened has taken his spot behind the bar.

Since they are now open I won’t stand at the server station anymore.

I finally got a place at the table

I finished watching that game and then headed to the Alchemy bar. When I left the sports bar I made sure my seat went to someone who had been standing for awhile. Those seats are like gold now.

Alchemy Bar

This is a good one from Kat. Dark rum, Coconut, Lime, Pineapple, Cherries

I tell Kat this one tastes like a sweet tart. She has no idea what a sweet tart is. Apparently they don’t have them in Ukraine. Rum, Melon, Apple, Lemon, Lychee, Lime.

Another good one from Kat. Zaya Rum, Blackberry, Lime, Orange, Mango, Rosemary.

Next from Milan. Very very good. This one is in the running for best drink of the week. It’s a cherry vanilla tasting drink. Rum, Blueberry, Molasses, Vanilla, Cherry, Lime.

Update on the Alchemy fire thing. No lighting is allowed at all now. This includes the lighting the rosemary and cinnamon on a perfect storm.

After that one I went to the room to get ready for dinner.

Back at the Alchemy bar after dinner. I’m going to head to comedy soon. This one was made by Kat. Rum, Mint, Blueberries, Coconut, Cranberry, Lime

The ship seems dead now. Alchemy was empty 10 minutes ago. In the comedy club it’s 10 minutes until showtime. The place is starting to fill up but there’s still plenty of space available.

Elevator Lobby

Standing in the elevator lobby. Comedy show just let out so a lot of people are waiting for the up elevator. I happen to be standing by the one that finally dings instead of dingdonging (ding is up, dingdong is down). Before the elevator opens this lady pushes her way to right in front of the elevator, “excuse me, excuse me” like none of us are waiting to get on the elevator. And then of course she’s in the way of two people trying to get off the elevator.

I just don’t get some of these people. I need a sammich.

The neighbor thing was great until last night. I got woke up three times by loud people up until 1am. My next door neighbors are fine. I think it was a guy across the hall screaming at 1am.

I just got up and threw some clothes on because I can hear them doing what sounds like random drug searches in my neighbor’s rooms. I think they already did the room next to me and now it sounds like they’re across the hall.

They never did knock on my door. The debarkation announcements are starting to come in. I’ll include the timeline.
