Good morning! Today is embarkation day. I’m starting out with a walk on the beach which is just one block from my Airbnb.

Breakfast is coffee and a muffin I had stashed in a backpack.

“You know a muffin can be very filling.”

This is a look at the weather for today. That’s not horrible considering it’s December.

One of the reviews I read on this place a lady said the pillows had someone’s hair on them or something. I brought my own stuff in case I needed it. I didn’t use the sheets. Mine are too big for this bed anyway. But I used my pillow and blanket. I love my pillow!

I booked my parking at Discount Cruise Parking. It was a 4-minute drive to the parking lot. 

I was on the shuttle at 9:56 and at the port at 10:10.

I dropped my own bag off and was in line at 10:14.

They have separate lines for Priority, On-Time, and Early/Late arrivals.

I was in the building at 10:15.

I was through check-in and security at 10:23. There was a bit of a wait at the table where they check your soda cans and alcohol. They were mostly checking the cans to make sure nobody was sneaking alcohol in. The lady saw my bottle of wine and just waved me through.

This dog reacted to the suitcase in front of me.

I was upstairs at 10:25.

The priority seating area is behind the photo screens.

I was seated at 10:27.

Diamond boarding started at 10:45.

Platinum boarding started at 10:46.

I heard them call premier guests at 10:50. I was onboard at 10:52.

I’m heading up to the room to drop my bags off. Next time we’ll cover day 1 on Carnival Breeze!
