Celebration: Day 7

on
February 24, 2023

Good Morning! Today is a sea day and the last day of the cruise. Weather conditions appear to be less than favorable at the moment.

Here is today’s schedule of events.

The weather is looking better now.

Let’s sneak into Loft 19 for a little tour before it opens.

Oh no. It’s locked. They have really stopped me this time.

I’m about to scare them when I hop this fence. She said I had nice legs. I told them I was putting in a recommendation that we raise the gate by 24 inches.

This is nothing like the last day on Glory but that water is moving.

It’s time for coffee.

Mocha.

I believe that is the Playlist Productions cast doing their morning exercise on the center stage.

Let’s see where else am I not supposed to be?

The bar was fine. I’m not supposed to be out here without a Havana wristband.

Back inside, that’s where the Havana rooms are.

Bonsai Sushi.

Pixels.

Soccer or Cricket?

They have the breakfast buffet going on in the Pig & Anchor.

Stepping out on the patio.

This is the aft pool outside of Pig & Anchor.

On the port side you have all of the outdoor seating from the various restaurants.

On the starboard side you have two hot tubs and all of the outdoor seating from all of the bars.

I’m stepping inside Bar 820 for a screwdriver.

I’m heading down to Emeril’s for that waffle I saw yesterday.

They have free coffee setup by the latitudes bar on deck 6.

This is a sweet potato waffle. It’s very good.

Let’s take a peek in the Festivale Restaurant which is the aft main dining room.

Back in Celebration Central.

I got another screwdriver.

Fitness center.

Look at that coffee line!

Cherry On Top.

The Green Eggs & Ham breakfast is back. We’ll take a peek inside this dining room later.

I stopped by the casino to grab my fun play chips.

And another screwdriver.

I won a couple and lost a couple. I basically just turned my fun play into regular chips I could cash in.

I finally caught the theater open with nobody in it.

I have seen the luggage tags setup by Guest Services – deck 8 aft, Celebration Central – deck 6 mid, and lido deck by the forward elevators – deck 16 fwd.

I headed back the Pig & Anchor for a bloody mary.

I brought that to the morning show. This is the deck 8 view. Yesterday I was on deck 7.

The party is over. They’re going to block our great view for the rest of the day.

I went back to the Pig & Anchor for another bloody mary.

The Big XII Championship is on most TVs. A couple have the SEC Network on which doesn’t have a game yet. And a couple are on ESPNU which doesn’t have a game now. One bar TV is on cricket.

I guess bingo is about to happen in Celebration Central.

One of the things I missed on Mardi Gras last year was lunch in Cucina and Chibang. That’s why I had Cucina for lunch yesterday. Today I’m having Chibang.

They give you wontons with both a sweet n sour sauce and salsa.

Chibang margarita.

Since this is the last day, I want to try both sides of the menu.

This is Carmones bowl from the Mexican side.

This is the steak noodle bowl from the Asian side. Both are good. I really like this steak one with the wide noodles though.

This is the churro dessert.

This is what they have for Street Eats today.

Ice carving on lido deck.

Mike is running groove for St. Jude today. Lee made an announcement saying duty calls so something big must be going on for him to not be here.

The wind is ridiculous. I had to go chase a receipt down by the pool.

There’s a time travel thing on the schedule I want to check out.

It seems the time travel is going to be on these screens

Yeah it’s a little time travel video on those screens with Lee’s voice. Going from prehistoric times all the way to the future.

Here is the first three minutes of the time travel thing. It was probably 5 minutes total. And continued to a pirate scene and then the space scene pictured above. Apparently I’m late to this party because a bunch of people showed up to watch it saying they missed it the other days.

Mustache is in the limelight and it’s packed for a 3:30pm PG show.

John Dicrosta.

I think this is the strongest Punchliner I’ve ever had. I thought it was usually bluer. This one is blue but clearer.

That was really good for a PG show. Especially the end.

Let’s take a peek in the Carnivale midship dining room. This is where they were having the Green Eggs & Ham breakfast earlier.

The Seafood prices at Emeril’s.

Sound check.

This lady was just on her phone

“Who is this? No. No. He’s not at this number. You have the wrong number. Please take me off the list. I said please taken me off the list. Yes. Take me off the list. Thanks. Good bye.

That just cost me $15.”

Who takes spam calls at sea?

I’m in the Golden Jubilee.

June Bug.

Tiramisu.

The Alchemy Bar is open so I’m heading up there.

Stefan made this.

The steward is really trying me today. I left my snoozing sign off all day so he could do my room earlier like I know he wants to.  But I really needed him to do it early today because he has a jam packed full bag of my laundry. And I need that to pack.

Remember that day he did my room earlier than I wanted so my laundry didn’t go out that night? That threw everything off a day. So normally I would’ve had that laundry back yesterday and it would be packed already. Now he still has it and I can’t finish packing.

I left the room for the steward again. I let the door slam extra loud so hopefully he hears it. I went to go see what’s going on in the Pig & Anchor. If you’re a SEC fan you would not be happy. All they have on is the Tulane game.

There are about three shows I’m going to need to watch before I can eat so I stopped for a sandwich. Actually I got the 9 and the 10 so I could try both. The 10 was tough to eat so I didn’t. 9 was pretty good.

I’m in the Punchliner for adult comedy.

Trevor brought people on stage to put on their boogie shoes.

Cee-Jay Jones.

This is happening at Center Stage.

Seating is a problem in the center stage area. Every big show I saw there, I stood for. I don’t mind it. But when it’s so bad that you can’t find a place to stand and watch it, that’s a problem. Those pictures look pretty good right? But all of those my arms were stretched as high as possible because I was behind three videographers that stood up and held their camera up for the entire show and it’s the only way I could get a shot of the entire stage without them in it.

Finally I got my laundry!

I got most of my packing done. But I missed Emeril’s so I requested a table at Chibang. I think I’ll do Mexican.

I ordered two appetizers. Nachos and steak taco. I’m glad I got two because the nachos were pretty decent but the taco steak was pretty tough. And they didn’t give you enough stuff to fill one tortilla much less the 3-4 they gave me.

My nachos came out blurry.

The Diablo shrimp and the red beans are pretty good.

We pretty much know what we’re getting into here. Chocolate melting cake.

This is what they had in the Main Dining Room tonight.

Dive-in movies before I went to dinner and when I got back. Quite possibly the same movie.

Here’s something interesting. I’ve been raving about how quite my room has been. I was just in there and I heard talking in the bathroom. I went in and through the vent in the shower I could hear everything that was going on in the room above me. I’m sure if it’s doing that in my room it’s probably all rooms but interesting I hadn’t heard anyone in there all week.

Bags had to be out by 10 and I was at dinner so I’m carrying off tomorrow. I thought it was 10:30 or 11.

I’m off to bed. Tomorrow is debarkation day.
