Celebration: Cozumel
Good morning from Cozumel!
We are docked next to the Arcadia from Carnival Corp’s P&O fleet in England.
Carnival Pride is coming in now.
Here is today’s schedule of events.
I headed down to Bar 820 for a mocha.
They have a little breakfast buffet in the Pig & Anchor if you don’t want to go up to lido deck for the big one.
I’m grabbing a biscuit from Big Chicken.
I bought this before my first cruise. It’s always with me but I haven’t used it in years. I broke it out last night because my phone time has been acting funky the last couple nights. Wrong time at night. Right time in the morning. So I couldn’t trust my alarm.
I just grabbed a water at the Tiki Bar and I’m going to head down for my 9:30 excursion. They want you to check in at 9:15.
I was on the elevator heading down to deck 3 for the gangway. When someone got off at 6, The elevator voice said “exit here for the gangway.” So we all got off.
I just took the stairs down to deck 3 but the guy from this couple says “Oh we’re in the back of the ship. We need to go to the front of the ship.” I tried to tell them we were in the front of the ship, but they started walking to the back anyway.
Just off of the pier and outside of the duty free store is where all of the Carnival excursions meet. I just need to find my sign.

From my 2021 trip where I flew to Cozumel, you may remember the Senor Frog closure and me questioning workers on it. One said there would be a new location, but he would not tell me where. This is it. Exit Puerta Maya and take a right.
Cruise Director Lee welcoming us back to the ship.
When I left I took the training wheels off of my steward. I removed my snoozing sign. I did this to see if he was going to go against my evening request or go above and beyond with double service.
He did morning service so he’s either going above and beyond or going against my wishes. If he makes up the room tonight he’s good. If not I’m going to have to start keeping the snoozing sign on the door until 4pm.
One of the many reasons I prefer evening service is I like to get my excursion clothes in this laundry load and have it go out tonight so I can get my clothes back tomorrow.
I headed to Big Chicken for lunch.
I got a Shaq Attack and a toasted amber.

This is what they have at Street Eats today.
I was taking pictures of the casino smoking section when I saw someone spinning in mid air.
I checked it out. They’re practicing for the circus show.
I was thinking Alchemy opened at 4. It’s actually 5.
So let’s check the non-smoking casino
This bar separates smoking from non-smoking. That is the smoking side over there. You really can tell a difference.
That didn’t kill an hour. Let’s check the practice session.
They’re on the ground now. Okay I’m bored what bars are open?
820 was slammed. I went down to the Pig & Anchor for a bloody mary.
I got taken care of with the blue cheese olives.
Before I knew it, it was 5pm
Nicola remembers the drink.
I really like it.

I decide to take advantage of having Nicola on the ship.
Comedian Cee-Jay Jones steps to the bar. I shout “Cee-Jay Jones!” He walks over and shakes my hand. He’s shocked I know who he is since he just got on the ship.
I got another.
Nicola recognizes a trend on my next one.
Nicola taught Ramon. I need to get to my dinner reservation at the Teppanyaki.
Bonsai Teppanyaki.
I was slightly late when they asked me to be slightly early…but I played it off not like I was not getting one more drink at alchemy but like there was a location confusion.
They must not have the Japanese beer on the ship at all. I couldn’t get it at Latitudes. Now they don’t have it here.
Spicy tuna.
Shrimp and Pork belly.
Miso soup.
I’m good with these chop sticks.
I went with the filet mignon.
I don’t even know why they give you two. In case you drop one?
I think I’ll use the fork for this one.
When the chef left he said “see you guys tomorrow night!” I said you’re working Rudi’s tomorrow? At first he was like..no. It took him a minute to get the joke. I have a reservation at Rudi’s tomorrow night.
The late seating Teppanyaki line makes me glad I was late for mine.

9pm and my laundry is still here. The training wheels go back on tomorrow.
Thor is playing on lido deck.
The circus show is happening in Celebration Central. If you want a seat for this, get here early.
I’m standing by the elevators and a couple walks up hits the down button. An up elevator dings. They race inside. As they’re running in I say “what goes up must come down.” They stayed in there. I don’t think they realized they were going the wrong way until it started going.
I had my doubts about the non-smoking casino but it’s jam packed every night. And twice on sea days.
Family Feud is happening in the theater. They should change the name to Hodge Family Feud.
You know there’s no comedy when……
Family feud is standing room only.
They really thought they were all going to to fit.
No tag. Possibly an orphan.
Adult game night in the Punchliner.
I want to reiterate how happy I am with this room location. I never go down the long hallway. I feel I like I have my own private entrance. I never see anyone. It’s great!
We are three days in. I’ve seen my neighbors once. On the other side of them is two women sharing a room. I’ve seen them twice. I haven’t seen or heard any of the balcony people. I assume they exist because this didn’t hang itself.
