Carnival Sailabration: Cozumel

Good Morning! The way Carnival Ecstasy peeled away yesterday I thought she was going to some far away place. I sure was surprised to see her sitting in Cozumel this morning.

When I woke up I saw we were about to dock on the TV–Well not on the TV. I saw on the TV we were about to dock so I threw on some clothes and raced down two flights of stairs to the deck 7 “secret deck.”

After we docked I returned to the room to shower and get ready for my excursion.

Then I headed to the lido deck coffee shop to get a mocha to take down to breakfast.

While I was waiting for my coffee I requested a table for breakfast.

I’m having a big breakfast since I don’t know when we’re going to have lunch or whether or not I’m going to like it. I ordered French toast, avocado toast, and a side of bacon.

After breakfast I had to run back to the room to get my excursion ticket. After doing that then getting all the way back downstairs I realized they probably still have a mask requirement in Cozumel. I ran back upstairs to grab a mask.

I finally made it off of the ship. Breeze has joined us and Ecstasy.

This is interesting. My phone switched to Breeze WIFI. That’s funny because I’m farther away from Breeze than I am Glory and I haven’t connected to Breeze WIFI since 2018 which was four phones ago. It’s clear the newer ship has the stronger signal.

My excursion ticket says meeting spot 9.

There it is.

He says he go meet your tour between those buildings.

I am back at the port. At the Mayan ruins we had this guy in our group. Every time the tour guide said something the guy would say “Ahhhhh.” And he got louder throughout the tour. “AHHHHH.” “AHHHHH!!!!!! I’m learning so much on this tour!”

After returning from the excursion I mistakenly locked my room key in the room. I was going to have to replace it anyway. It didn’t work getting on or off the ship today so security told me replace it.

It’s getting late for lunch already so I’m going eat before I get my card replaced. That means I don’t have my Whataburger spicy ketchup or my card to buy a beer until I go to Guest Services to replace it.

People were raving about the carrot cake but i think I had that on Vista. I went with coconut Tres Leches this time.

I was going to get pictures of all of the cakes but people were ordering the others.

After eating I went down to guest services to get my card replaced. Then I returned to my room to get ready for dinner and put out a bag of laundry.

Now I’m at the Alchemy bar.

Jose made these.

Breeze is leaving.

Now we are leaving.

Andrea made these drinks.

I went ahead and requested a dinner table because I want to be done in time to watch the first comedy show which is Geechy Guy.

I got a window seat tonight so I can look at life boats and the occasional crew member walking by.

I’m doing the multiple appetizer thing instead of an entree again.

Caesar Salad.

Shrimp cocktail.

Baked meatball.

Jalapeno poppers.

The bitter n blanc sauce doesn’t look right. It should be yellow..

I think maybe they put too much cinnamon in it. It still tastes good.

I timed it perfectly to make the first comedy show. I head over to the main lounge–All comedy shows are in the main lounge tonight.

Boy did I get a double surprise. First off he’s not a comedian. Secondly the platinum/diamond party was tonight?

I got an invite at 8:30 this morning but I had a 9am excursion so I didn’t have time to read it. I did take a picture of it though. I certainly didn’t think the platinum/diamond party would be the first port night with 8 hours notice.

I looked at the fun times and Geechy is on it. I looked at the hub app and he’s not. This wasn’t planned very far out I’m thinking.

I thought maybe they moved Geechy to the comedy club so I race to the back of the ship. Oh heck no. Karaoke!

This lady carrying two plates past me in the hallway just looked to the side right at me and coughed in my face. She was trying to avoid coughing on her food by coughing on me. I would go into my shoulder with that–food or no food.

Sixteen Candles on lido. And there’s a movie playing.
